Invite your team

Add your first teammates to the workspace. You check your seat count, choose each person’s role and team, and send an email invite. It takes about two minutes, plus the time your teammate needs to click the link.

Startup plan
Inviting teammates requires the Startup plan or above. Freelancer is for one user, so its Users page shows “Upgrade to invite” instead. You send invites from the website dashboard at timeros.ai, which only owners and admins can open.
  1. 1Sign in at timeros.ai and open the Users page in the dashboard sidebar.
  2. 2Check the seat counter. The header shows “X of Y seats used”, where Y is the number of seats you bought. When all seats are taken, you can’t send invites until you buy more on the Subscription page or remove an inactive member.
  3. 3Click Invite people. The “Invite a team member” panel opens on the same page.
  4. 4Enter the person’s Full Name and Email. There is no password field: each person sets their own password through the link in the email.
  5. 5Choose a Dashboard role: Member for people who use the TimerOS app for their daily work, or Admin for full dashboard access (billing, users, settings).
  6. 6You can also choose a Position. This unlocks the Department and Team fields, so the person joins their team straight away. If you leave “Skip — assign later”, the person shows as “Awaiting placement” until you place them.
  7. 7Click Send Invite. The email has a Set your password & join button (the link is valid for seven days) and a Download for Windows button for the desktop app (Windows 10 or later; macOS is on the way).
  8. 8If you skipped placement, finish it in the desktop or web app: the header button showing how many members await placement opens the Place team member dialog. Choose a position and team there. Roles are grouped by access level, from CEO at the top to Team Member.

Once your teammate has set a password and installed the app, help them through their first day. For how positions, departments and shifts fit together, see setting up your workspace.
