Goals & awards

Goals let people set targets and track progress toward them. Every plan has personal goals; Freelancer also gets an Achievements page, and Startup and above add company and team goals and Awards.

On Freelancer, the desktop and web apps show an Achievements page, where you unlock ranks and badges as you work. On Startup and above, the Goals page adds company and team goals, and an Awards page recognizes teammates.

Company goals (Startup and Enterprise)

Company goals show progress against team performance metrics and are measured from the same per-state time data as the reports. The Goals page is in the dashboard of both the desktop and web apps.

• Anyone with the goals permission sees Goals in the sidebar. Company and team goals on that page (the Organization tab) need Startup or above.
• Team performance, such as productivity, is shown on the Team and Department pages to roles that can view performance data. The Performance page shows only your own data.

Awards & recognition

The Awards page (Startup and above) shows your awards and a leaderboard and is read-only. Completing a goal grants an award automatically. A manually tracked goal earns a self-reported award; an automatically tracked goal earns reward points and a premium award. The page also shows your award history, explains how awards work, and lets you share or download a certificate.

Achievements (Freelancer)

On Freelancer, a personal Achievements page takes the place of Awards. Ranks and badges are earned from your own tracked time, with no team to set up.

Company goals and awards are based on your people and their tracked time, so set up your workspace and team first.
